Pablo Picasso described art as “A form of magic designed as a mediator between this strange hostile world and us.” As an illustrator, jeweler and artist art has definitely been a kind of ‘magic’ enriching my life with two worlds: The one I was born into and the one I create.

I was in the fourth grade when teachers confiscated my table, books, pens and pencils in an effort to stop me from doodling over any surface prone to ink or lead; I would spend quite a few lessons sitting cross-armed with nothing before me save for the chalkboard. Needless to say it was then that everyone knew my future would evolve around nothing else but art.

Sure enough during my final years of high school I signed up for IGCSE art courses, scoring the highest O & A levels that year, it was also around then that I received my first Wacom and discovered the magic of digital painting and illustration. After graduating I left for Florence to study at the Fine Arts Academy followed by intensive jewelry making and design courses at the Art Studio Fuji.

After graduating in 2005 I had both a Fine Arts and Jeweler’s degree in hand and since then have played the part of both digital concept artist and art director in animation, gaming and film. When not immersed in the 2D world, I turn to designing and making my own line of handmade jewelry in an attempt to fuse art and metal into one piece.
